WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5
Ok, so heres the deal for the morning
1. You pray the Sign of the Cross
2. You offer God your day
This just means that you tell Him everything thats coming up that you know
of, then you say "take all that I think, do, and say and I unite it all with
the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass" So this way your small sacrifices are being
united to His all-powerful and saving sacrifice on Calvary.
3. You read the Bible Passage. Then pause for like a minute or two.
4. Ask yourself 2 Questions:
a. What is the keyword or theme of this passage?
b. What does this have to do with me?
Luke 9: 23-25
And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.
"For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?
At the end of the day, before you go to bed,
Ask yourself 2 Questions:
1. How did God love me today?
2. How did I love God today?

This is an amazing and profound passage. So often we are lost in our own sufferings, our own problems. We ask why, but don't really care to know the answer. We haven't become depressed and then lost Jesus, we've lost Jesus and then become depressed. He is calling us to take up our daily cross and follow Him, to deny ourselves and follow Him, to put tHim above all. We might think that at first glance this is not such a difficult thing to do but really it is perhaps the most difficult thing we could ever do. So few people in the world truly follow this, and so the challenge is compounded because of the lack of examples. We cannot be selfish. "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it." We must suffer. "Take up his cross daily and follow Me." Can we honestly do what we are being called to do? How do we even know what this looks like? Most of us have no perfect examples. We have to figure it out, just us and God.
just curious, cause i officially have a track record of getting these things totally messed up... is this mary alison? Or someone totally else?
i like what u said though. It makes me think of how God is challenging us to gain and lose our life exactly opposite of the way the world is telling us to. However, i think that there are many good examples. The Lenaburgs for one...
So you know, Julia Emma, this is/was alison, just alison. :)
Haha... aight... got it. That's why i asked this time :)
